Volusia County Public Library has partnered with PBC Guru and Freading to create a virtual book club for patrons and the community.
The book for August 5 - October 7 is Boy Swallows Universe by Trent Dalton.
A lost father, a mute brother, a mother in jail, a heroin dealer for a stepfather and a notorious felon for a babysitter. It's not as if Eli's life isn't complicated enough already. He's just trying to follow his heart, learning what it takes to be a good man, but life just keeps throwing obstacles in the way... Joyous and heartbreaking, this is a story of brotherhood, true love and the most unlikely of friendships.
It is always available for download from Freading.
