Pick up some health tips and get moving at your local library in October, which is Health Happens in Libraries Month.
The Volusia County Public Library, as part of the 2017 National Endowment for the Arts The Big Read grant award, is adding the element of art to expand their local programming.
Show title: ARTiculating Gatsby
Artwork must reflect the 1920s or “The Great Gatsby,” a 1925 novel written by F. Scott Fitzgerald. All media, except video, will be accepted. Artists are expected to explain the connection between their work and the novel.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program
Join this exciting program for children
ages 0 to 5. Read a book (any book) to your newborn,
infant, and/or toddler. The goal is to have read 1,000 books (yes you can repeat books) before your precious one starts kindergarten. Enroll at your local branch!
